Konrad Black

Konrad Black is a Berlin-based composer, music producer, and performer known for his contributions to electronic music and sound design. 
His work encompasses compositions for electro-acoustic instruments, film scores, installation pieces, and immersive sound art.

As a founding member of the Wagon Repair label and an affiliate of Richie Hawtin's M_nus family, Konrad Black has been influential in the techno music scene.

In recent years, he has expanded his practice to include collaborations with visual artists, contributing original compositions and sound design to major conceptual installations.
Notable projects include Jeremy Shaw's "Phase Shifting Index," currently on view at Berlin’s Hamburger Bahnhof through 2025, and the soundtrack for Balenciaga's "Afterworld" video game for their Fall 2021 campaign.

His discography features solo releases such as "The Scorched Earth EP" and collaborations with artists like Poison Arrow. 
Upcoming music releases include the soundtrack for "Phase Shifting Index" on Berlin’s PAN Records and "Juego Carnal," a track co-written and produced for Poison Arrow, released in November 2024 as part of dBridge’s Exit Records 100.4 compilation.

Konrad Black's innovative approach to sound design and composition continues to influence the electronic music landscape and the integration of sound in contemporary art installations.
